Best of Luck to Nikki! I hope she's healed and ready to give it a go.

The woods are hopeless. Don't waste your time, they will be destroyed. So will the marsh. It is a losing game mankind has played for more than a century. Sadness is what you are, do not deny it. The universe is a lonely place, a painful place. This is what we can share between us, period.

Good luck Nikki!

She should beat Pous Tio, it took her 3 sets to get past K. Bondarenko in the first round.

Hopefully Nikki is fully recovered.

No.

Nicole won 6-4 6-4. Next up is Lucie, I think it'll be tough.

Nikki has Lucie beat no worries.

So Nicole lost... Not that surprising, I thought it would be a tough match...

Lucie has been playing and serving well all week. Nicole had 8 aces but 7 DFs today.

4th-Seeded Vaidisova Upset by Safarova

1 hour, 9 minutes ago

Lucie Safarova upset fourth-seeded Nicole Vaidisova on Thursday in the third round of the Bausch & Lomb Championships, finishing with 11 aces in a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 victory.

The 16-year-old Vaidisova, the youngest player in the top 100 on the WTA Tour, had seven double faults and sprayed forehand shots throughout the match.

"I had a chance to get back into the match, but I had too many errors, stupid mistakes," Vaidisova said. "It's kind of frustrating because with just three sets, if you feel a little bit off, you can't get back. I just have to get my rhythm back."

The 19-year-old Safarova, from the Czech Republic, had little trouble with her serve, getting her first serve in 63 percent of the time.

"I felt very good with my serve," said Safarova, ranked No. 33. "I struggled with it in the second set, but everything else felt very good."
