Re: US open!

60 61 against Ji/Sun

IMPRESSIVE!

Impressive in both singles & doubles

Too bad Sugiyama lost in singles

Re: US open!

It was a very relaxing match to watch--no worries on
my part at all! They basically demolished Ji/Sun, who had to
fight really hard to get that one game.

It went so fast I forgot to take out my camera until
match pt.

But it was really good to see them play so well--both
Kata and Ai were really on top of their games, and having
fun.

Kata started her match against Kirilenko, just broke back for *3-4.

Vakulenko awaits the winner.

4-6
This is so typical.

She better fight back...or else I will not be in the slightest bit amused.

Re: US open!

Now 1-1 in 2nd, I hope she can break her now. She is normally definitely the better player.

Finally up a break, now she needs to build on it and take control.

Yes, I know, I didn't expect anything else, she never uses her opportunities.

Re: US open!

There's really no excuse, she should go and learn a thing or two from Kozmus about big game mental preparations.

Well, maybe she will learn at 30s, but then it will be too late anyway . At her ages she should be really much better in the cruicial moments than Kirilenko

True, but it'll only help her in her doubles career. She's becoming more and more of an expert. But I do have my doubts, because she never seems to learn anything from her defeats, if she had then I don't know if we would've seen matches like against Davenport last year or Dementieva or Peer this year.
