Praying for Caro/JJ/Halep in 3rd round. Avoid Kerber, I'm still not ready for new match between them.

I am very confident about any of possible QF opponents, even aginst Li. To be honest, we all know Ana is capable to win this whole thing if she comes fully commited, she can go all the way and take the trophy. But, last 5 years can't be forgotten so fast, so we need to go one match at a time. It would be really immature to take any match for granted.

Honestly, I just want to see Ana improving more and more.

Errani/Suarez for the QF? You are praying for some "cakewalk" ha?

Joke aside, I wont take any match for granted. Bouchard, Safarova, Makarova and many more potentially dangerous players could await in early rounds, so lets go one step at a time.

If Ana continues to play like she did in Auckland and Melbourne, she will go VERY deep in Doha, so it's all up to her. If she takes these two tournaments really seriously, she can make two really big results.

Oh, please. You wouldn't mind that kind of draw either.

Maybe you can switch Carla and Bouchard so we can try to hope for some revenge on Genie.

And Makarova withdrew, by the way.

That is just a mock draw for the seeding positions. It doesn't tell anything because it as you said there will be a lot of dangerous floaters.

As always, I'll take it match by match. But of course the draw will have to come out first to get some impressions. I'm confident of Ana's possible chances about doing well here. But I won't get ahead of myself at all. She has never even reached the quarters in Doha. In 2008 she was the top seed and got injured forcing her to withdraw IIRC. It's about time for her to make some sound in the Middle East. Let's hope so, at least.

Re: 2014 Winter/spring campaign: Mission to Arabia

Li withdrew from Doha. So that means Ana will be seeded 8th then will have a bye in the 1st round?

Re: 2014 Winter/spring campaign: Mission to Arabia

Ana's horrible draw in Doha :

R1: Hantuchova
R2: Svitolina/Zakopalova
R3: Kerber ()
QF: Li

It's going to be really tough I can see her get crushed by Kerber in R3.

I am fine with this draw. Not easy one, but Ana is now good enough to go through the storms and shine like the brightest sun again.
