Not a terrible draw but I don't see her taking out Stosur

Could be really tough against Barthel.

But Stosur-Kerber quarter isn't so bad..

We have to see which Ana shows up though..

Re: "Just Like Christopher Columbus"Ana conquers America(Indian Wells,Miami)

Ugh for Barthel, she almost defeated Azarenka last year here, but Ana can be a magician in IW, so everything's possible. After all, that's a round 3, I almost got scared at it being round 2. The rest of the draw is fine. Ana has to win this shint.

the winner of Ana/Barthel has a nice chance to reach the SF, that part of the draw is great. But why Barthel of all the ppl? Ana, beat her somehow, pls.

Yes.. why Barthel? WHY?

Ana needs a strong IW.. she can't lose early there..

Re: "Just Like Christopher Columbus"Ana conquers America(Indian Wells,Miami)

Ana's IW 2013 draw:

R1 - bye
R2 - Taylor Townsend/Lucie Hradecka
R3 - Mona Barthel/Kiki Bertens
Last 16 - Samantha Stosur/Madison Keys
QF - Angelique Kerber or someone else
SF - Vika Azarenka or Caro Wozniacki or...someone else?

Final - ... One step at a time

Draw seems really interesting. Somehow Barthel seems like the dangeroust one, Stosur/Kerber not so. Interesting.

Good luck ANA! It would be amazing to see her winning IW once again.

Lol at Penneta/Schiavone R1 and Azarenka/Hantuchova in R2. But...never say never when Hantuchova plays...

Well, Hradecka first. I think Ana should beat Mona, in 3 probably.

Beat mona and that's a great draw if she's playing well

IMO, If she's playing well enough to beat Barthel, she can take out Stosur/Kerber, so I think we can expect a QF if she beats Mona in the third round.

Challenging draw, it will be a difficult road for Ana here. Barthel is a bit like Kvitova, she can beat top players when playing well and also lose to anyone. Stosur is also pretty strong competition even though she can have her off days. This is a HC so I don't think it's likely she flops here.
Well, fingers crossed

Stosur might struggle with Keys I think.

Re: "Just Like Christopher Columbus"Ana conquers America(Indian Wells,Miami)

I want to say only one word on this March thread about Ana with long and bizarre name "Just Like Christ..."

resurrection!

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)
