Of course I won't be. She didn't reach a slam SF, she lost a Dubai R2 match in straights.

That makes no sense.. if that was true, nobody would win tournaments.. haha

She is on the right track. It takes time, yes, but what makes me a big and great fan is that I have enough energy for 10 more years if it's gonna take that long, but it won't. There are many reasons why every real fan should be proud of Ana today.

Well, a good showing here. Waiting to see the match, but by the scoreline you could tell that it was competitive. This is a step in the right direction. Keep it up Ana!!! Hoping for a good draw in IW

Re: Going East for Success (February Thread)

Ana finally seems injury free, and she repeat TOP10 game level from 2nd set against Radwanska.
Indian Wells is hers favorite Hard Court tournament, she will be #9-#12 seeds group (thanks to Williams boycott) and all of #5-#8 seeds seems beatable in California for Ana, and if she reach QF, chances for SF depending on draw (Azarenka and Sharapova is worst options).

Talking about February, I don't have big expectations, so I'm not disappointed at all, especially if she finally fixed hers shoulder problems like it seems today. I'm only sad because FED CUP (especially after SRB draws GER), so it seems this lose vs SVK is final goodbye for Ana/Jelena generation to win this trophy.

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

Re: Going East for Success (February Thread)

BTW, Maybe Ana should to blacklisted this Dubai tournament in future. She is global brand ambassador last season of Dubai Duty Free, tournaments general sponsor, and she make several classy promotions for them (even in December she arrived on Dubai Film Festival sponsored by DDF). This year Ana obviously have no time for them, and want to enjoy hers time with hers new *oy and on practice courts, or simple these sheiks bored hers.

But organizers reacted so ridiculous and childish, and put todays "match of the day" between two GS champs on parking court (!?), and not changed that decision even when Serena withdraws (so there is another new term on CC). Unthankful b*stards!

Oh, now you're accusing me of being a fake fan? Who are you to decide who is a real fan and who's not or what a real fan should do? You can call yourself a big and great fan (no matter how ridiculous that sounds), but you don't get to decide about others. Ana and her fanbase are not your property, so spare me that arrogant and annoying story about true fans. It's beyond embarrassing that someone talks about that after so many years.

That's just your conclusion. It has never been my intention to accuse or insult someone since I like chating with you guys, but misunderstanding my words is something that happens here again and again, so I guess I will not mind anymore.

I guess I am a little bit different because my love for Ana is more than just being a fan, it's something I can't describe with words. Even if she looses 60 60 in a three consecutive matches, I will still be there to say: yes, she can win another GS, because I believe in that.

Re: Going East for Success (February Thread)

Well, it seems like it was a good match, and I expected Kvitova to be great on this surface, so this cannot be really a bad thing. Anyways, I do expect her to shine in IW, I think that could be a tourney for breaking through. As a top 12 seed, she has a great chance there. We'll see what happens.

As a fan of both players,I thought it was a fantastic match-the winners were flying everywhere.

Let's just forget about the TB.
