I'm already overposting..

Do we have a ranking thread? Should be interesting to have one to keep score of Ana's progress and what tournaments are counting towards her ranking.

No. But I know that she needs 2 things.

First and most important - to be consistent, reach R3, R4 and QF.

Second: Top 4 players must keep on dominating.

That's all. And if she manages to reach top 8 somehow, it will all be much easier.

I think that we can't expect her to do well at OG, playing for her country makes her too nervous. Let's hope that she'll reach some slam QF. Being in Aga's quarter in Paris or in Petra's quarter in NY should be enough. 25%

OK! Perhaps it will happen.

Could I open a rankings thread? Maybe we could have this discussion there?

Sure. It's an interesting thing. When Ana was inconsistent and had too many opened draws, top 4 players were very inconsistent too. Now that Ana has improved, she's almost guaranteed to play a top 4 player in R3 or R4. Now she really has to step up. WTA messy days are over.

Yes, I think quality really increased this year. Top players are much more consistent. At least most of them.

I'll open the thread. And we take that discussion there.

I count her points after every match. Now her ranking depends on Dominika and Flavia. Flavia's chances of winning Rome are slim, but we also need Cibulkova to lose before the final. Go Li, I say. But we also need Li to lose early in Paris.

Re: La Terre Battue: Queen Revisiting The Land of Feelgood (RG - Olympic Year Edition

Ana will have one of 17-24 for 3rd round:

17 Daniela Hantuchova
18 Roberta Vinci
19 Flavia Pennetta
20 Jelena Jankovic
21 Lucie Safarova
22 Sara Errani
23 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova
24 Kaia Kanepi

And one of 1-4 for 4th round:

1 Vika Azarenka
2 Maria Sharapova
3 Agnieszka Radwanska
4 Petra Kvitova

Re: La Terre Battue: Queen Revisiting The Land of Feelgood (RG - Olympic Year Edition

My dream draw would be:

1st round - LDL
2nd round - Daniliidou/Dubois
3rd round - Pavs or JJ or Hantuchova
4th round - Radwanska or Kvitova

I really don't want Safarova for 3rd round.. or Vika/Masha in the 4th.
