Ajde. What would an early round loss do for her rank?

Daniilidou. Venus. Azarenka. Halep. Wickmayer.
Cornet. Ivanovic. Vesnina.. Vaidisova. Krajicek.
Paszek. Begu. Cirstea. Lisicki. Pavlyuchenkova.
Pironkova. Stephens. Tatishvili. McHale. Flipkens.
Grammatikopoulou ~ Papamichail ~ Sakkari
I'm obsessed with the Greek players. Deal with it.

Not so much, down to 8th.
But that's only an IF.
The sisters won't be here, Safina and Jankovic aren't playing well the whole year and is Sharapova even playing? Only Dementieva left then.
No, it's time that Ana really get some good results.
Only once she defended a title the next year in the same city and that was a SF. I really think it's at least a SF again.

AJDE ANA!!!

Re: Time To Succesfully Defend A Title: Indian Wells!

Actually it's not true that Ana has some special problems with tournaments where defending title...

Ana Ivanovic Careers titles:
Code:
TITLE Next Season Result
1. Canberra/05 NOT COMPETE
2. Montreal/06 NOT COMPETE* (compete in Toronto)
3. Berlin/07 Semifinalist
4. Los Angeles/07 NOT COMPETE
5. Luxembourg/07 NOT COMPETE
6. Indian Wells/08 NOT COMPETE* (still)
7. Roland Garros/08 NOT COMPETE* (still)
8. Linz/08 NOT COMPETE
So Ana Ivanovic WORST result at events where she defending her title from previous season are actually SF

And also don't forget that when Ana come to Paris last season before achieve her careers biggest success so far (career first GS title) - her career biggest success before that was Roland Garros 2007 and Australian Open 2008 finals. That means Ana won her biggest trophy at tournament where she defending GS final from previous season (in tennis slam final is biggest achievement after slam titles)!

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)
