Sad that we already have to look at the hardcourt season already.
It takes another month before she plays again.
Last year she won her 1st tournament after Wimbledon and she also never lost a match in Montreal.
Probably she won't play there as the number 1

1. Ana Ivanovic

2. Maria Kirilenko
3. Anastasija Sevastova

Noob question Serbia doesn't have another Fed Cup tie to play? have they already qualified to go up a group?

yes, thankfully. i'm actually watching for lesser serbian players in hope one or 2 of them would step up because i really don't want ana to play too much in that competition but no luck so far

btw, did ana hate thread just get deleted? if so, it happened only a minute after i had reported a post to mods. perhaps using the report button is useful after all?

Since Ana didn't play a lead up grass tournament and was knocked out of Wimbledon in the 3rd round should Ana defend her Los Angeles title?

Im glad you said something, because for some reason i had in my head that she WAS playing LA. But schedule looks like:
Jul. 28-Aug. 3, Montreal, Rogers Cup
Aug.10-17 Olympics
Aug.25-Sep 7 US Open

LA would be July 21-27. Looking at the dates, i think it makes sense.

i read an interview with a serbian tennis player who used to train with ana when they were children. she says positive things about ana and she says she hasn't changed and is still nice. i think that offically settles it for me - people who say ana is fake are simply

Click "EDIT" button, than "GO ADVANCED" button. You dont need to delete this thread, but will be nice if you change Thread Title and delete "Forget Wimbledon!" part. How to forget Wimbledon in this thread discusions if we see them all the time in Title

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

It's worth the wait cos we've got Montreal-Beijing-USO all in the space of a few weeks, but it is very boring right now

Ivanovic * Kvitova * Serena
