In for a penny,in for a pound;might as well get banned from this thread,too...
I've been critical of the Williams girls before though it was almost always Serena. This usually only happened after one of her sorry,excuse-filled blatherings following a loss(though I suspect that cult member Retard Richard had lots to do with her mindset). The truth is,the Compton gals have added SOOOOO much to women's tennis and I'd miss them A LOT if they left.
Having said that, another all-Williams final, which we're GUARANTEED to have on Saturday,is a terribly BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRE-ing prospect.Sure, they're sisters so you'd hope that they'd love each other, but a crucial part of the major drama in sports is the win-or-lose finality of the championship match. Can you imagine the German players smiling and saying,"I'm so happy for Spain," following their Euro Cup loss?
The team's coach would arrange for mental health evaluations. The idea of the loser happily celebrating with the winner afterwards COMPLETELY ANNIHILATES the suspense that goes with competition.
Serena had an AWESOME AO title last year
,maybe the most dominant Grand Slam run of this decade...and Venus had yet another inspiring, uplifting comeback to her previous form with her Wimbledon championship...and both gals deserve tons of credit for their excellent play towards attaining another Slam here this year.As for the final itself,YAWWWWWWWWWNNN!I'll glance at the score in the late afternoon, prior to having dinner,on the ESPN website....Sincere congratulations
to whichever one wins DESPITE the snooze factor.
