Re: 2007 Schedule

Love the schedule, she doesn't have many points to defend at the start of the year (minus Tokyo), so she could get that #2 ranking with some good showings at those events Also love that she's going to Eastbourne

Shame other players don't release their schedule like this.

Ivanovic * Kvitova * Serena

Sadly there will be taken exactly one year after Tokyo, so one week after AO is over. Ana needs to win some juicy pts in Australia to not risk falling down.

Ana Ivanović.

Ahem, Mrs.

Well Ana's schedule to Wimbledon probably has more events than Lindsay's full schedule, so I'd maybe rather not know

Ivanovic * Kvitova * Serena

Re: 2007 Schedule

Ana loses the points from Tokyo and Antwerp (Tier I and II), but is then playing Doha, Dubai (Tier I and II).
With the 370 points of she's still 4th. Maria needs to defend her final in Melbourne so it's not likely that Ana is gonna drop in the rankings.

1. Ana Ivanovic

2. Maria Kirilenko
3. Anastasija Sevastova

Re: 2007 Schedule

Seems like a fairly tough post-USO season, I wouldn't mind her skipping Beijing.

Re: 2007 Schedule

Is that entire schedule posted above confirmed?
If so it means she wont take more than one week off the rest of the year, nine of fifteen weeks. The only comparable stretch in her career is 2002 Juniors, when she went 8 consecutive weeks in South America.

Re: 2007 Schedule

Zurich entry confirmed
July 24, 2008 /

Ana has confirmed her participation in the Zurich Open in October, thus completing her schedule for the remainder of 2008.

The world No.1 resides in Basel, which is just one hour's drive from Zurich, so it's not surprising that she considers it as her home tournament.

"I am always so excited to play in Zurich," said Ana. "It does feel like a home tournament for me, and it would mean a lot to me to win there."

With her Linz entry also confirmed, Ana's schedule for the remainder of the year now looks like this:

Rogers Cup Presented by National Bank
Montreal
July 28-August 3

Olympic Tennis Event
Beijing
August 10-17

U.S. Open
New York
August 25-September 6

Toray Pan Pacific Open
Tokyo
September 16-21

China Open
Beijing
September 22-28

Zurich Open
Zurich
October 13-19

Generali Ladies Linz
Linz
October 20-26

Sony Ericsson Championships (dependent on qualification)
Doha
November 4-9
