Jelena lose today, but if Ana win against Bartoli in 2nd round Jeca will be still "Serbian #1" next week (about 10 pts more than Ana)... So if Ana want be "official" Serbian #1 already next week - she must win against this year best world hard-court player (Kim).

On other hand, next week Ana dont play at New Heven, but Jelena must defend 62pts, so she needs not less than QF, if she want be S'#1 in first USO week.

I have very good news for both Serbian tennis princess - in spite of Jeca bad play and Ana bad draw this week, they both will have career best rank next week. Jelena will be world #17 and Ana #18. Right now Davenport, Sharapova, Venus, Molik and Bovina have injury problems and if only one (two for Ana) of this players withdraw of USO, Jeca will be TOP16 seeds at US Open (NO TOP 15 players aganst her before 4R)!!!

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)
