Kiri in Rome!

Lets get things started again

R1 vs Oprandi
Then if she wins it will be against Sveta... tough but Sveta doesn't seem to be playing her best right now.

Maria Kirilenko & Agnieszka Radwanska ♕
You're wrong, I'm right, I'm smart, you're dumb.

Re: Kiri in Rome!

Didn't know that the draw had already been made! Oprandi is a really weird player, it's gonna be difficult to find rythm against her but if Maria doesn't win against her, it's terrible.Then Sveta, it will depend on Sveta's day, if she's in a good day, Maria will have no chance, if she's in a bad day, Maria will just have to keep the ball on the court

And Vika, Ana, Dementieva and Vesnina on the same part of the draw is terrible

Re: Kiri in Rome!

Why couldn't Maria have played Estoril? She'd probably be able to go a lot farther there.

Hopefully Maria can find some consistency on her best surface.

Any doubles for Maria?

After she switched coaches to Van Harpren she got her best results on clay.

Re: Kiri in Rome!

she won 5 tournaments:3 on hard and two on clay;
her best results in slams are in hard;
so far this year she won 1 match in clay;
kiri still says her favourite is hard

Re: Kiri in Rome!

She'll play doubles with Aga I guess. Big tournament.. and they seem to want to make YEC.

In 2008 and 2009, Maria won 2 clay court tournaments and made the final of another and won 1 hard court tournament.

Van Harpren changed her game to be more suited to clay.

Favorite surface isn't neccessarily the same as best surface though.

They look to have a decent shot at the YEC as they're only about 275 points from 4th place. That'd be great if they qualify.

Re: Kiri in Rome!

Not going to be easy against Oprandi I think if I'm not wrong she played quite well a couple of years ago, and she has the support but I still hope Kiri manages to win in two

Azarenka Radwanska Muguruza Bouchard Wozniacki Cirstea Mladenovic

A polish newspaper from some time ago with Papa Radwański. He said in Miami Aga hadn't had enough energy in singles because there were still in doubles with Kiri. He said Aga wouldn't play doubles till RG because Maria is too good doubles partner for her and they supplement themselves very well so it's hard to beat them or something like that but ofc it doesn't mean Kiri won't play doubles with someone else!
