2006

What are your expectations and predictions?

I think that Maria will win a couple of titles, and get into the Top 20.

How about you?

Well, I think if Maria can start the new season 2006 like she ended the last one, everything is possible. She has to look forward to defend her good results, especially the title at Bejing and I think she will try to get a few good results at the Grand Slams. I hope that she is able to enter the top 20 next year.

I expect from her another singles title and a couple of doubles titles.
Cracking the top 20 is also a possible mission
Best of luck to lil Masha in 2006

My wish for Maria in 2006 is great health, wisdom in how she and her dad manage her year, and a continued positive outlook on everything. May her friendships on the tour grow along with her tennis skills. To keep improving as a tennis player, no doubt a dream of her's, a move up into the top 20; at least one (maybe two or more) tournament wins and a top 20 in doubles seem to be great goals and expectations for 2006. And for us as fans, I wish for great joy in cheering for Maria the person and the tennis player.

PS - What I really would like under the Christmas tree this year is a vastly improved Official Site in 2006, one that brings us timely and direct from Maria information and insights.

2006 for Maria will be a big year I think. She'll get by the 3rd round at a Grand Slam for the 1st time and she'll do it more than once. Masha will win 2 or 3 singles titles and 3 to 5 doubles titles (a major is possible) with Gisela Dulko which will make them one of the top 10 doubles teams in the world. As for rankings, top 15 is very realistic.

Overall I just hope she stays aggressive and continues to improve (her serve & drop shots especially).

Sorry to correct you house, but she did 3rd Round at the '03 US Open

As for my expectations for 2006, they're really high like they were a year ago. 2005 was much better than what I expected so I hope this keeps on a roll! But what's most important is if Maria has fun and enjoys what she accomplishes.

house is correct...read it again. "...get by the 3rd round..." means reach the round after the 3rd.
