Maria's Scoreboard

My idea behind this thread is to establish a kinda review of Maria's matches, where everyone can see her results. I will start this thread with next weeks tourney at Moscow.

Elena Dementieva
Maria Kirilenko

Patty Schnyder, Anastasia Myskina
Marat Safin, Lleyton Hewitt, David Nalbandian

Thought we had a thread for Makiri's awards, couldn't find it so posting this here.

The Russian site has awarded Makiri what would be best translated as "Breakthrough Player of the Year" for 2005. While many in the Orchestra are predicting 2006 to be a breakthrough year for Makiri, 2005 was great as well. To advance from a 111 ranking to #25 in the world, a first singles title, a second doubles title, a new more aggressive game, a whole bunch more confidence, and even those trips to the weight room show. Seems the person who ended the year at the KC in Moscow showed very little resemblence to the one who was eliminated in qualies and did not even make the main draw to open the year in Sydney. All the titles and awards aside, maybe most importantly Makiri seems to be achieving her dreams in tennis, she does seem to be finding joy in her accomplishments, and put that together with her many strong friendships and all the smiles. Very special. Congratulations to Makiri!
