Maria is currently ranked #28. She won't be playing any more challengers, so I wouldn't count on seeing her in Quebec

Masha really should play Moscow if she's offered a wildcard or can in the maindraw with her ranking. I would think that with Makiri being born and raised in Moscow that she badly would want to play the Ladies Kremlin Cup in Moscow for the first time. Especially after finally winning her first WTA Tour singles title. But I don't get the feeling Masha is eager to play Moscow.

Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. - William Bennett

I mean.. Moscow is just another tournament... she has to think more of herself, than Russia. Russia is not going to boost her ranking...

It's probably the Yonex - Japan commitment that makes her a must at next week, then she'll have to rest for Moscow...
