Bienvenue Binoxal

They are-from left to right:

Donald Budge-female unknown [LKK believes she is Marie Horn]-Simone Mathieu, Jadwiga Jedrzejowska, Anita Lizana, Alice Marble, and Baron Gottfried Von Cramm.

The date is 1938-so this must be in England, as Alice was not on the continent that year.

The second from the right is Alice Marble (in a hat), third probably Lizana, fourth Jedrzejowska. The second from the left may be Marie-Luise Horn.

You were first Rollo, hehe.

Re: Archivesdutennisfeminin-Tres fantastic!

I think it was taken in September 1937 in the U.S.A., but I may be wrong.

It's very possible-as that was the year Jaja, Lizana, and M-L Horn played at Forest Hills.

Re: Archivesdutennisfeminin-Tres fantastic!

Using the site I added info to Louise Raymond's bio at:
Biographies of Female Tennis Players

Elle nee a 28 July 1917
Elle mort a 2 October 1994

(sorry-I don't know how to type French accent symbols!)

US Open: 1/8e de finale en 1941 (pc Bernhard 60 60)

Should be

US Open: 1/16e de finale en 1941 (pc Bernhard 60 60)

or perhaps I am wrong?

Does 1/8e de finale en 1941=quarterfinal?

or does 1/4e de finale=quaterfinal?

Merci Binoxal!

Re: Archivesdutennisfeminin-Tres fantastic!

Merci!
She was beaten in the 3rd round in 1941, and the 4th round was 1/4 of finale...
That's why I indicated 1/8e de finale, by mistake perhaps (the same error (?) exist for a lot of players.... )

I think I get your system now.

1/8e de finale=round of 16
1/4e de finale=quarterfinals
1/2e de finale=semifinals

N' est pas?
