Re: Blast Encyclopedia of Female Tennis Players

Hi LKK-thanks for your sharp eye and comments.

Fixed Brunnarius (my spelling error)-so I believe you can add her with confidence now.

Added info about Bourne and Borelli

Added a bio for Benjamin.

Note I also added a snippet about Harman being RU at Alexandria in 1939.

Questions for you, Jimbo, Mark and others.

1. Photos. I added photos for Camille Benjamin for example. Is it just too darn big? If it's ok I won't worry about it. If it's too big does anyone know how to cut them down to size?

2. Credit for bios. I can follow your format LKK [Info provided by Mark/Jimbo]. I had also posted "thanks to Jimbo/Mark for this Biography".

Does anyone have a preference?

On to C while I have some time.

Hi Rollo!

1. The link to Camille Benjamin isn't active, so I don't see anything.
To cut size pics I use this:
http://www.irfanview.com/
Download it, open the software, click on menu Edit and paste or drag a pic, click on menu Image, then on Resize/Resample and put new size.

2. For me isn't important have credit for my contributions. Do as you prefer.

Excuse the interruption. This is my first post. Someone has extra information or photos of Evelyn Dewhurst? Extra question: are the players on this photo (http://www.gettyimages.es/detail/fot...ticias/3346315) really the same than those on the footnote (Kity Godfree, Betty Nuthall, Mrs. Peacock and Mrs. Haine?

Left to right in the photo in question: Bobbie Heine (not Haine), Betty Nuthall, Irene Peacock and Kathleen Godfree.

Thanks newmark401! I was looking for 1927 Lenglen exhibition tour photos, in search of Mrs. Dewhurst photos, and felt lucky for a second...

I see. Looking in GeeTee's thread I only see Blackall. Perhaps the info in the married names thread was an early attempt to connect them due to the first name. The lack of a date suggests to me that Blackall is correct.

GeeTee's aussie players thread:
Australian Players: A to Z

Re: Blast Encyclopedia of Female Tennis Players

I have a little gem for you, Rollo. Using these links you can add some info about Kathleen Atkinson, Juliette's sister:

http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.c...03.html#I06903
http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.c.../f0000075.html

Note that the dates of birth for both Atkinson sisters are slightly different from those ones we have. I don't know which ones are correct...
