********************************************

German Championships/German Open (1896-2008)
German Closed Championships
German Indoor Closed Championships
German Covered Court Championships

All the editions of these tournaments played between 1948 and 1989 were West German Championships as East Germany had its own championship events. There were also East German International Championships played in Zinnowitz, but I have not found any list of winners.

Hello LKK, thanks for your remark.
You are right about these tournaments, and I will put a note to specify that.

About East German International Championships in Zinnowitz, we have here only 1963 finals:

FI: Irina Ryazanova Ermolova (USSR) d. Vlasta Kodesova (Tch) 6-4 6-2

DF: I.Ryazanova Ermolova/Vlasta Kodesova d. Johannes/Vahlev 6-3 6-3
1963 results
(see post #33)

If the Zinnowitz tournament was played every year until Germany was reunited in 1990, there are so many results that are still missing

I just didn't notice, because I left the message window open for a long time before I posted a reply, hehe.

I think Nelly Neppach was German. She was ranked No3 in the Official German rankings in 1923, and No2 in 1924 and 1925.

I think she was Austrian by marriage, but she probably had dual citizenship.

Re: Official Tournament Winners by Event

I have added the "Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia Championships, or Czech Crown Championships?", with the results from 1895 to 1914 that I have removed from the Czechoslovakian Champs.
Of course we are waiting to know the exact or prevalent denomination of this tournament.
