Martina Hingis: Special Poem I wrote about her

I'm initially discovered this forum because I was an Elena Dementieva fan, but then I realized there were other sections. LOL I'm also a huge Martina Hingis fan because I love her intelligent style and her attitude. She's a legend, what can I say.

The Way You Do the Things You Do
You are the most weightless
Yet you are the strongest
You leave crowds breathless
Your strategies are monstrous
The way you do the things you do
Hardly a sound comes from your mouth
As you unleash each stroke with immaculate style
Each court that you grace is your Isle
The way you do the things you do
Your game is as precise as your homeland
With the felt ball you have a romance
That will stand the test of time
Your chess plays do mess with minds
The way you do the things you do
You were once the World’s Most Wanted
Like the criminals hunted
Possessing a sharp tongue,
It’s true
With barbs, guns,
You slew
The way you do the things you do
Your whole being is full of wisdom
Ever since a small girl the sport you’ve christened
Your shots drop like silent Hindenburgs
You widen the court like an unhinging bird
You make your framed strings play epic symphonies
After a quarter of a century, you’ve reached an epiphany
Forever you will be a Swiss Miss champ
You have a pair of quick crisp hands
Your touch moves, like “Ooh!”
The way you do the things you do

I just loved these lines:

Each court that you grace is your Isle
With the felt ball you have a romance
Your shots drop like silent Hindenburgs
You make your framed strings play epic symphonies

Cheers, Merry Xmas and Joyeux Noel, all rolled into one,

Carlos

Café Parisien Manager at the WTA's flagship: SS Dementieva.

Bonita Elena:

Russian Aphrodite, ye of the golden smile...and tender lips
Modern day Helen of Troy: No need to launch 1,000 ships
to inspire our hearts to vibrate in unison...together as one
as you gracefully criss-cross 'round the court...to conquer # 1

Can you hear the Seraphim Chorus joyously chanting:
"Lovely Lena, the Slams are soon a-coming"
Even the Heavenly Realm has taken notice
how thy on-court passion--and off-court kindness,
rekindles hope in the sublime, my Earthly Princess;

¡Vamos Rafa! Come on Lleyton! Don't let yourselves be Fed-erized!

Let's wierd hope that, this year, Martina won't accept honors from any hand before reaching Trophies.

proverb: celui qui Te flatte Te tend un piège.

Poetry for Victory

Tu déchires Tes victimes
Tu T'élèves jusqu'aux cimes
Dans Ton ventre un lionceau
Sous Tes griffes des gazelles
Ta Victoire Te rend Belle
Légère comme un oiseau
Tu T'envoles jusqu'à Dieu
Et le Ciel contient Tes yeux *
