The thread subject gave me quite a scare! Unfortunately it might well be true.

And some people accused Martina of faking her injuries.

Hoping for a complete and speedy recovery!

RELAX!!!!! Did anyone say she would play RG or something??
So she has pulled out of Berlin, maybe that's because she wanted to give her ankle some rest, to be fully recoverd at RG. She also played Wimbledon last year while she could hardly play any tennis!! (okay she lost in the first round, but that isn't what matters here) .

And that about the faking her injury's.... no sweat, they say that about all players. I've heard that about Venus W alot!!! And I guess injury's are checked by a doctor. And why would she fake her injury's?? Martina is a smart young woman who knows she just has to accept a loss, there's nothing more you can do about a loss.

btw. RG is still a "small" month away from now, so let's wait if she does (or doesn't) recover on time and if she doesn't it will be announced maybe here but also on the sanex website.

JUST RELAX, there's no way you can say Martina doesn't play RG when there is still a month to go!!

The cowie is back...

When I first heard of this news yesterday, I was quite saddened. I hope Martina is going to be okay. She needs to rest and recuperate before Rolling Garros, yet be prepared to play. It didn't cross my mind until a few hours ago she might not be able to play in Paris. I was selfishly anticipating Martina's appearance at Rolling Garros (and a possible win there), but her health is what really matters. According to most of the news I have read from the Associated Press, she was affected by a left foot injury even during the Betty Barclay Cup! I'm so proud she did so well despite the pain! A true champion, like Hingis, perserveres in the face of adversity, but knows when to take an injury seriously. This isn't the same foot that hurt her last year, is it?

let's just hope pulling out of Berlin is simply just giving that ankle some much needed rest so it can heel, at least that's what I'm thinking

if not, her doctor is a miracle worker, I'm sure he'll have her back on the court in no time at all

didn't Martina say once on tv that whenever she is 100% both physically and mentally, she KNOWS she can beat the big babes. Hamburg was a perfect example. Yea, we do kinda seem selfish sounding saying we wanna see her play RG when she really is injured. I was so amazed at how she even bothered ro play Wimbledon last year! It's all for the love of the game.....
