I want Venus and Elena D. to get the final spots. If Venus plays the Advanta Championships than she will for sure get a spot and I know Elena D. will qualify she is going to play next week in Linz, so is patty but I dont think she will have the same sucess as Elena. I also think if Patty qualifys she will lose every match at the YEC like Zvonareva did last year.

Myskina def. Dementieva
Schnyder def. Penetta- - - - Schnyder def. Ivanovic

Patty now is pretty secure in her #7 spot.

Dementieva is rumored to have accepted a wildcard to Philadelphia

Lena playing Linz will pass Venus's pts. and will probably be the #8 player to YEC if she does accept a WC in Philly. If Venus wins Philly beating Lindsay in the Final, will that be enough pts. for YEC? I doubt it but i'm wondering how many pts could she get for winning Philly

Dementieva has to make the
SF of Linz to pass Venus.

And we won't know what is needed to
get the spot until after Linz.

Comical that Venus hasn't played
in over a month and has only played
a total of 3 tournaments since Wimbledon
and is still ahead and has been for all this time.

BTW, Petrova has to make
the finals of Linz to pass Venus.

Venus shouldn't go if she isn't fit. it would be ridiculous for her to rob a fit in form player like elena dementieva of a spot then play like rubbish or even retire partway through.

Venus has been recouping from an
injury and after a month thinks she's
ready to play again.

Despite what she may or may not do
has nothing to do with robbing
Dementieva of anything.

Your words are complete rubbish because
Elena and others have had all that time with
Venus out to make it happen and if they haven't
by now that is not her problem or concern.
