Welcome to the historical Hungarian city of Budapest! The last of the summer clay court tournaments was held here this week before the US hardcourt season really gets under way.
The semifinals saw local favourite Agnes Szavay win a three set battle with Israel's top seed Anna Smashnova. With the backing of the home crowd, the wildcard entrant will be hard to beat in the final. Szavay is ranked 204 only in PYW. Her best showing to date was a second round in Bogota. She's likely to make a big jump in the rankings.
The other semifinal saw a win from Argentina's Mariana Diaz-Oliva over third seed Roberta Vinci of Italy. Diaz-Oliva is gaining groud in PYW recently. Currently ranked 75 she was a semi-finalist only last week in Palermo and made a semi-final before in Rabat. Being a clay favourite she is likely to give Szavay a good run for her money in what is a first PYW final for both.
Now it's time for you to vote for the player you want to win this tournament.
