We tend to stay more on topic.

This is completely false.
GM in TF is more like Off topic in MTF.
A lot of the threads on the first page in GM would be in Off topic in TF:
Drake and Serena making out
Nike family picture
Hingis courting
Halep I don't watch players
The meaning of Serena
pics
trial game
Casey lesbian
adidas
Serena cover

It is like 80% of the threads that would be moved to off topic in MTF pronto!

MTF is really better organized.

And I don't want to start a new thread, but I would like to know why my US Open qualis thread was closed.
It was inspired by the same thread in MTF: http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=693193
As far as I notice, TF and MTF have the same owners, so why are such threads allowed in MTF but not in TF??

There was 2 posts with live scoring in it.

is this reason to close the entire thread? Just edit the posts like it is done many times.
I want to talk about quali results and it makes no sense to open threads that will have only 2-3 comments.
In MTF they also post live scores and it doesn't get closed.

But why do I wonder that threads about tennis get closed when GM is more about gossip and off topic...

TF never used to have so many of those type of threads. Except for sometimes during the off-season. Also I think that mods used to move more of the "personal interest" threads to the player's sub-forum.

As for "a lot" only three of the threads on the first page currently are "off-topic"

I like these Offtopic threads but I think it would be more tidy if this Offtopic forum existed like in MTF.

We have an entire Nontennis thread for off-topic threads. Many of the topics in there are tangentially related to tennis, and many of them are not.
