Re: DataBaseError?

I've been having it fairly often recently. I'm assuming it's because the site's getting more traffic than it can handle, which fits what happens on other VScope boards. Can't you guys do something about that?

Re: DataBaseError?

when it happens, there may be a yellow box under the DB error, can you copy that content. Also I need to know the time it happened (time zone please).

This will help get it sorted.

Re: DataBaseError?

Before 6:40 EST I was trying to send a PM to another person, but when I hit for the PM to be sent up came a database error. Then I kept trying to get back into the Forum and I just kept getting database error after database error after database error. I left for a while and came back and finally got back in the Forum rewrote the PM and finally it got sent! I saw no yellow box at all.

Next time it occurs like that just hit refresh. It should get rid of it for you. If you do see an error message in the yellow window please paste it here.

Immediate refreshing doesn't help, at least in my experience. It usually takes a few minutes before you can access the forum again.

Often the database error occurs on TF and MTF simultaneously.

PS: Have never seen a yellow window either.

Refreshing usually doesn't immediately sort the problem. This is also the case on other VSport forums where I've seen it. It's a problem on your end, not ours. If I had to guess what's causing the error, it would be the site receiving more traffic than it can handle. Mostly because that's what causes the twitter fail whale and reddit pages to 'take too long to load' but I may be completely wrong.

I'll let you know if I ever see a yellow box.

Re: DataBaseError?

For some reason I've been getting a lot of Database Errors recently

Also, at the moment, the site is extremely slow. Is it my machine or the site?

It's the site because the same thing has been happening to me!

Re: DataBaseError?

Just had a DB error from something like 12:24 till 12:36 CET. Refreshing immediately didn't help. Didn't see a yellow box.
