Why was my thread closed?

Posters cannot demand the return of a particular poster and threads opened in such a manner to garner public support will have no effect other than for those threads to be closed or deleted.
This. Explain me why. My thread, as described above, had no intention to demand the return of a poster, and it gets closed? I don't get it.

Bans and suspensions should and will not be discussed on the public forum.

Also, you may want to read this. Some points, like point 8 for example, don't only apply to GM.
