Why is Members List disabled?

I know we disabled Who is Online because it is a resource hog, but why the Members List? Isn't this a static page?

I ask because I am trying to find somebody to send a PM. How are we supposed to do that now? (Without searching through threads for a post. )

Re: Why is Members List disabled?

Members list was disabled for the same reason as Who's Online. I guess the two features are connected somehow.

There have been various threads about it in here, eg. http://www.wtaworld.com/showthread.php?t=281558&page=2. If you feel like a bit of reading you might be able to find more info.

As for the PM thing, I can't think of any other way to do it if you're unsure of the posters name

Yes I saw it in the other thread but I thought that was for Who's Online, which updates/refreshes at some interval (matter of seconds, I suppose), so it makes sense to disable to improve server performance. Member List returns a static page (I would think), so I see no need to disable it. That is my point/question.
