Same for me and I did not like it as it reminds me of bad memories in Summer last year .

And as a coincidence, the post above is my 1,000th. I am however not really in a mood to celebrate right now .

Yes the board crashed this afternoon. Our guru has been working on fixing the problem for the last hour. Thankfully we managed to restore everything without losing any posts and <touch wood> all systems appear to be back to normal working order as of now.

Thanks Amanda :

for the feedback and for the great job effected in very little time.

Did this crash have something to do with the high number of viewers ?

Good to hear that everything is back to normal <touching wood too>

Did it say this:

Warning: Too many connections in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/wtaworld.com/httpdocs/admin/db_mysql.php on line 38

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Cause thats what I just got a while ago, and wasn't sure what the heck it was. I got it, then refreshed and it worked again right away.

20 mins... more like 48 hours!

just kidding with you guys, I guess there's just a lot of traffic these days!

We are aware of the problem some of you have encountered today and are once again working on it. As has already been suggested, it is as a direct result of continued growth in numbers of people visiting these boards that these issues have occurred of late. It's a nice problem to have. And we will get our setup optimised to cope with demand, that I can promise all of you.

I should also point out the moment one of you encounters one of these database errors, an engineer is immediately alerted and begins work on remedying the problem. So if the boards go wrong, one of our people are onto fixing the problem quicker than one of venus williams booming serves.

I hope that explains everything. If not, please feel free to ask your questions in this thread and I will try to provide more answers.

Amanda.
