Mirza : A future top 10 player?

Kuzentsova barely survived a player called "Mirza" right now. She's apparently from Asia. She doesn't have a very high ranking now, but she definitely showed potential to me. If I am right, since Kimiko Date, there hasn't been an Asian player in the top 10. This one might do it.

Maybe. She has potential. Her serve needs lots of work.

Yeah, she's weak around the net. Her serve seemed OK to me. But still, those pounding groundstokes remind me of Serena. She's got the potential to be a champion, no doubt. Whether she gets there is another matter.

Sania Mirza is from India. She gave Serena a run for the money at the AO in reaching the 3rd round. She beat Kuzentsova along the way (I think).

Yup.She can get there.I was wondering if she was a fluke after her recent poor performances since injury, but now i know she's the real deal.Has a few areas that need work, like the movement, and second serve. Her first serve is good, but needs to be more consistent(61% for this match was good).Volleying really needs to improve, but she's hard-working,has great attitude and a bag of talent,so she can definitely do it.None of those areas are impossible to improve.

I think she's hot too,and a lot of others too.You should see her in a saree. She looked gorgeous. She also recieved 11000 marriage proposals in her hometown of Hyderabad, has a bunch of stalkers(including some jailbirds )
and is a pin-up girl all over south asia,so i'm guessing you're not the only one...

what is definitely against her being a champ is that she IS already a star in India. Hence, her successors are likely to have an easier track than the one (Mirza) that paved the way. The Belgian case where Wasserman and Devries preceded Van Roost & Appelmans followed by Clijsters & Henin, is a good example of this.
