The best-terrible draw possible for Israel:
Switzerland with Hingis and Schnyder
but the tie played in Israel

The ranking will change after this weekend, so seeding is not sure yet. There's a gap of over 2000 pts between Germany (9th place) and Croatia (12) or Japan (14), so I don't think there could be a change in the seeding for WG1.
It's a different matter in WG2. Croatia is just 80 pts above Thailand, and Canada is 600-700 pts behind them and could move up when this week's points are added.
I'll try to do the calculations when all the ties are decided.

I think it is Canada's best chance in a while. Especially with stronger teams possibly in the America Zone next year (Like Venezuela though Vento might have retired), it would be best for them to go to WGII this year. Let's hope it'll be in Canada!

No change in the seeding of WG1 PO, allthough Germany is just 300-something pts above Japan and Czech Republic.

Canada move up to 15th place and will be seeded in WG2 PO. Thailand missed out by just 15 pts.
