How about CANADA's team?

Who will play and how do you think they'll do?

I'm ok with that team but I would've taken Maureen to play doubles.. She's the best canadian by far in doubles..

I like this team

I don't think Maureen has actually made herself available to play Fed Cup the past 2 seasons, which probably suits the team fine as I think they needed to make a transition into putting the younger players in at this stage. Pelletier, Dubois, and Wozniak all seemed obvious choices and that left one spot. Marois is injured right now, so I think it was really between Melanie Gloria and Sharon Fichman. I'm pleased they chose Sharon because she's had some good results on clay in the juniors and Melanie hasn't really done much yet this year. I'd like to see Sharon get a chance to play at least doubles

"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But he loves you."

Well The choice of Sharon created a controversy, at least with Melanie and her coach. I also agree she deserved it more on clay, and even on hard, i think i would ahve went with Tetreault.

For Maureen, i heard her realtionship with the other girls wasn't that good, and right now for Canada, i think taking the younger guns is better for the future...I hope Dubois plays doubles, im sure she will, she is the best dubs player of the group. A dubois/Fichman team might do lots of damage! Mara is sure to play singles, and then it is a toss between steph and aleks. Though i feel steph will be snobbed again this year!

I like the team a lot too but Mo in doubles is very, very good!

In the qualifying event, she is not really needed cuz they will win all their match but in the world group qualies, I'd add her without hesitating..

Ya, I like Drake too but if she hasn't made herself available then there's not much you can do.

Melanie Marois last news - 30 March 2005

My latest match was three weeks from now. One week and a half ago, I received the test results I did while returning from St-Paul. Wasn't really good news. I didn't know what to expect: I was playing with this pain in my foot for one year. Doctors have found a crack in each fibula's tendons. In the ankle and foot, there are two fibula's tendons, a long and a short. In my case, both are damaged. So I have to rest for minimum 6 weeks after what we'll analyze my situation before going back on the court. These are things that may happen when keeping a pain for a certain time. I am disappointed that I have to stop for a while, but at the same time, I am happy to finally know the origin of my pain. To encourage myself, I'm just thinking how great it will be playing without twinge in my foot. It's long not to be as active as usual, but to rest is the thing I have to do to solve my problem and to be in good shape...

only Puerto Rico can beat Canada

Brazilian chances depends on surface ---I mean if the clay court will be real real slow---an uruguayn frien told me that they aren't so slow as brazilians and frances courts so

Larissa ---if she plays well and a canadian don't, we have some chances.
Jenifer --if she plays---I hope--- can also do some damage

Nanda forgot how to win matches but she usually plays fed cup well-----we have to see.... and please don't think in put Joana "loser" Cortez--PLEASE!

WELL WE''LL SEE HOW Vilmarie do on clay and the canadians---Marie is on fire!
and I also don't see Kristina losing much games until she plays the canadians.

I was worried about Brazil.
Maria Fernanda Alves has a good ranking.

Canada will win all their matches.
It would take a really bad day by the whole team in order to lose. Even if one has a bad day, the others will step it up!
