°°°~~~ My Trip To Paris ~~~°°°

My mum and me went to Paris from Thursday evening until today very early in the morning. After arriving at "Gare du Nord" we searched for a Taxi and found a cheap one around the corner. In the hotel we had to endure the first shock: Our credit card number wasn't shown properly on the fax the people got. They tried to call us in GER, but didn't know that we had a holiday and that everything is closed. It was 10 PM BTW (!!!). They really tried hard to organize us a room and did so, too. It was like 20 minutes away and we seemed to be in the "quartier" where the most whores of Paris live at. But we survived.
The next day I went to RG with the Metro, it's funny to swee the people jumping off the Metro before it even stops completely. :P
After getting in at around 11.20 AM I first wanted to watch the doubles between Knowles/Nestor and Cibulek and some polish player I can't really spell. Nice match, many long rallies, but whenever the BAH/CAN-combination wanted to win the point they also did. Quite comfortable two-sets win. I wanted to watch Farina-Elia - Likhovtseva on the same court next 8I only had ground tickets). They had many long rallies full of nice actions by both players and Likhovtseva's edge in aggressiveness finally paid off. The second set was very close, Farina was up a break quite ofte,n but lost her service game and played poorly in the TB, i.e. an easy missed drop-shot at the MP. Then I went over to see ALG/Bartoli. Very, very high standard doubles. Bartoli is such a great doubles player, she's got so much energy. ALG was guilty for not winning it in two sets honestly. Then I needed something to eat. I forgot my sun milk and felt really bad. After queinig for like 30 minutes I got my hot-dog, my pepsi and my water and I needed it badly, because one moment later I felt like I am close to collapse. BTW, 11 Euro for that. After that I watched an awesome mixed between Sugiyama/Mirnyi and Ivanovic/Zimonjic. It ended at 10-8 and all the guys smiled. Ai is so nice and gracious even in defeat. Then I went over to Lee-Ferrer. Nice match in the third set, but Ferrer was the better player. Finally I watched Patty vs. Pennetta. Flavia was so great in set 1. Schnyder should have lose the set more easily, but Pennetta did some stupid mistakes on crucial points. She didn't have enough firepower in set 2 and 3, although many games were really close Schnyder won quite easily in the end. She was so mad at some people sitting on the right, because they made some noise and wanted Flavia to win (most of the guys wanted Patty to win though). Patty's coach was giving her so many infos throughout the whole match, it was a bit unfair if you ask me. After that I left and we had a nice dinner with an original French onion soup.
The next day I mostly watched ladies. First of all I watched the whole match between Petrova and Peer. The Israeli fought very hard and deserved more than only four games, but Petrova's edge in power and experience finally paid off. She was very happy after her win. Then I watched Gagliardi-Loit on a big screen in front of the Court Phillipe Chatrier. I was so happy for Manu who played well and actually can beat Sesil IMO.
Then I went over to Hantuchova/Sugiyama - Birnerova7Vanc which was a nice match. Hantuchova did way too many UE'S though and after 0-3 in set 3 I left a bit disappointed. After another hot dog with the spiciest mustard I've ever eaten (I know Dijon, but this one was ). I really wanted to watch ALG - Schiavone or Martinez/Husarova - Pierce/Kuzzi, but it was impossible with those queues so I went over to Manu's mixed doubles, but left soon after to finally watch the end of ALG (she lost with a DF). Overall it was a tough match and both played well from what I could see.
I saw many players practising, went to the big amount of shops from all brands, bought the official RG t-shirt etc. I really liked the whole facility, although it is quite small. I had to discover the smaller courts first though, I thought there wouldn't be anything behind Suzanne Lenglen first. :P The prices are too high if you ask me and the queues are too long, but except for that, it's great. Many nice details are there, too. I would only like to see big screens for SL and Court No.1, too.
We ate in a nice restaurant yesterday evening, then went with a ship on the Seine and went back to the hotel until 5 AM, when we had to get up for the train back to Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle).

Well, that's it.

Thank you for all these moments over the last years! Supported you until your final point!
