The last wc is for a player gold/silver exempt, so Clarisa won't get it.

Clarisa might get it if no gold/silver exempt takes it. They might get fined for not doing it, but they still could deny doing it.

They never do it, see Bogota for example.

I don't know why would they have to give her a wc :P the only time she played here she lost in Q1... and as I said, the third wild card is silver/gold exempt, that's why Bogota only gave 2 wild cards... the wild card is for an exempt not for anyone they want. If not they would obviously give it to someone.

In men, there is no specific wild card for any exempt or thing, that's why they usually give 1 or 2 to a non-mexican.

I'm afraid that if we haven't heard of any other name is because no 3rd WC has been awarded

All MD WC has to be determined right before the qualifying draw is done so I guess the first player in the qualy list was promoted to the MD...

In mens tennis ATP when you are injured you have "protected ranking" that means you can play during 6 months or 9 tournaments (what ends before) with the ranking you had at the date you injured.
Clarisa´s last tournament before she played February ITF challengers were Rolland Garros 2004 and she was inside top 100 then.
Isn´t there a protected ranking in WTA?
Clarisa did not have a chance to play the qualies here because she was playing Bogotá semifinals

Eleni Daniilidou - Iveta Benesova - Melanie Klaffner - Gisela Dulko - Daniela Hantuchova - Jelena Dokic - Karolina Sprem -

Clarisa was supposed to play in St Paul, MN 50K but she withdrew. I don´t know what will be her next tournament, she is not committed to play anywhere. I don't think her ranking will let her play the qualies in Indian Wells or Miami.

I hope she recieves another WC.
