Playing for Serbia(and Montenegro) on beginning of this century J.Dokic reach WTA TOP5 and couple big titles (like tier-I Rome or Moscow) and which is also important back popularity of tennis sport again in Serbia after many hard years when we after Seles don't have anybody close to TOP50 (WTA or ATP), not only TOP5. After so many personal problems she is out of nowhere on one point and actually retire (with couple painful fake comebacks). But now, she is officially tennis player again (she just reach today 3rd round of AO major + at least TOP150) and despite fact that she is after all that complicate and awful personal problems (with father mostly) back again to Australia and we in Serbia have so much other tennis (super)stars - she is not forgotten here and have large number of true tennis fans which still supports Jelena (Dokic;)).

Jelena DOKIC players forum thread here is on this adress:
TennisForum.com > Player Forums > Enter Player Forums > Tennis Australia & New Zealand > Dokic's Domain

And this thread is just for her Serbian fans... and also for her "international" fans which will count Dokic forever like "Serbian Sensation".

Go Jelena... AJDE! :rocker2:

No reason that she shouldn't receive support from Serbians, after all she is of Serbian ethnicity and the first female star of true Serbian background..

she even used a few 'ajdes' against Chaky.

:)

good luck Jelena

I like this thread a lot. I notice that Greeks and Serbs have much more similarities and not just religion. Baghdatis has many fans in Greece, and on MTF we tried to make a Hellenic Forum for fans of Greek and Cypriot players, and the result didn't come out yet, but we will keep trying even if we don't get it. We will include a thread for the diaspora for players like Sampras and Philippoussis. I really like Serbs and I have Djokovic, Tipsarevic, and Pashanski in my signature there, as well as Ivanovic in my signature here.

Just for record: Jelena Dokic reach GS Quarterfinal for first time since June of 2002 and back again to TOP100 after October of 2004. After 2003 Dokic not beat any WTA TOP40 player... but only in this week she beat three TOP40 (#12, #18, #31) opponents in the row!

Welcome back Jelena!
