The SF with the Czech Republic was worse - it was the most blatant smash n' grab win I have ever seen. Czechs completely dominating the match, wasting one chance after another, Greece didn't do shit the whole match apart from the goal they scored. I remember immediately after the match just sitting there dumbfounded as to how something like that could have happened. Then I thought "No big deal, the Greeks will lose in the final". And then pure terror as I remembered "OMG! They're playing Portugal!" (the only team that could find a way to bottle the final no matter how useless and harmless the Greeks were - and they did).
Well, at least Porto did some great things in 2004, so it was a over all successful year for football in Portugal. Their coach was Mourinho in that moment. It's a shame that he'll probably never coach Portugal national team.
I never understood wta ranking points 100pts for 2nd round and 160pts for third...
she HAS to beat casey i watched her against Voskoboeva in Hobart and she played really really bad
I believe that WTA tries to support lower ranked players that way. Especially if a lower ranked player beats a seeded one, that's some kind of award. It's not a perfect explanation, buI can't think of any better.
Bojana is playing against Casey first up on Margaret Court Arena on Monday. Will be very tough as the crowd is very loud and vocal on that court. Hopefully Bojana can keep her composure. She's thrashed Casey both times they've played before and this time should be no different. Ajde!
