Will Germany try it again 2007???

They got injured in 2005 with Haas and 2006 with Kiefer.

But with ALG they had a brilliant girl if healthy. 2006 wasn´t the best time after that injury occured in Moscow.

So, let´s predict: Is it possible that Germany gets another invitation given the fact the German boys often use the pre-AO season for ranking purpose rather than for fun? I fear that maybe Haas+Kiefer decide to play events to get practice rather than this exhibition-character kind of event.

What do you think?

i think iefer will come back if he is asked, he is a very superstisous (spelling?) player
and he played his best GrandSlam Tournament after he played Hopman-Cup
so i think he would play again if he is asked, and i think A-L would like to play again
and if both are healthy then they could finally win it for germany again

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Kiefer said after the Hopman Cup: he want to play Hopman Cup 2007! He loved it in 2006!
And I think Anna- Lena will play it too.

Groenefeld will most likely be asked back since there are no other German girls who are even close to her right now. Kiefer will probably be asked back if he is still the top German male by around the US Open. Anything could happen in the next few months. Haas has been playing quite well this year.

I hope they do come back. Nicolas is one of my favourite players to watch. I saw him out and about at the Hopman Cup this year. I hung around the hotel lobby and saw him walk towards the casino. I was half-tempted to follow him in but I wasn't dressed appropriately. In case people were wondering, Nic was wearing a shiny, long-sleeved black shirt, black trousers and had his hair slicked back like he had just stepped out of the shower. It was a very warm night yet he looked dressed for winter. He's a strange guy that one, but that's part of his charm (at least to me).

What better way to practice than to play an exhibition where you are guaranteed 3 matches at least?

I live in Perth where the Hopman Cup is held and I go every year so I am going in 2007. I have a feeling that Haas will be picked instead of Kiefer because Kiefer is out of form at the moment and has also been injured a lot lately. On the other hand, Haas has been playing very well lately.

Also, Haas is ranked higher than Kiefer with Haas being ranked 14 and Kiefer at 23.

I have no idea how they pick the teams but if they pick it by asking combinations of the best players and then decide what to do next (by adding a nation or deleting one) I think there´s a slight possibility Germany won´t take part

In fact, giving the injury of Kiefer, I doubt Haas is interested in exhibitions and would decline (if asked as no1). If Kiwi is asked as no2 of Germany and cites an injury for a refusal, it might be that noone from Germany goes. Kiwi has to be healthy at the beginning of 2007 not only due to his good result 2006 at the AO and defend this
