It was annocced yesterday the Hopman Cup will be the first tournement to offically use Hawk Eye technology in line calling. This would explain the video replay screens. It was annoced in an article:http://www.hopmancup.com.au/default....103&NewsId=107
Player would beable to argue line calls in the same manner as clay court were the umpire leaves the seat. Also Head to Head will now include matches at the hopman cup. Onli if we could get the players gettin ranking points the pull for players would greatly increase. As speculated in this forum a month ago this has occoured and it is fantastic as interest around the world will grow for the tournament just because of this innovation.

I think it's a good thing that they are trying it out at the HPC.
