She's still not at her 100% level, but Chanda is getting there. The harder she plays the better she gets. And now that Chanda gets to play in her first ever Olympics she'll have the extra drive to get the gold!
Chanda does not have a bad draw at all! She faces Samantha Stosur in the first round, a very inconsistent player who only has a serve, Cara Black, or Tina Pisnik horrible players with crazy spins, and then Amelie Mauresmo a player she has dominated their last two matches. Well I won't go looking past the 3R, but I'm telling you, she's going to go somewhere!
Yesterday's doubles loss was disappointing. Especially since the team would undoubtedly have improved from round to round as they gelled. Even so, they won the same number of games and points as their opponents. If they had just converted one of those early break points in the 3rd set....
But that's behind us now. Let's hope Chanda can put it behind her and focus for her match today. She's got Cara, who is much better than her ranking. Chanda will need to be focused. You can do it, Chanda! Best of luck!
