Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 7

Caro was in a slam final and I didn't think Kim was playing that well. But Caroline did not play well, especially near the end.
Thats a slam final and you have to compete hard every point no matter what.
Then in 2011 AO she fell apart after not closing out that semi. But no guarantee she wins that slam final.

It turns out that closing out sets and finishing well in close sets is a big problem in her career.
That was in clear in her last 2 losses. She was up 54 and 53 against Li.
2 close sets with Ivanovic.
Against Muguruza at the 2014 AO she was up 64 54 and lost 8 of 9 games. Lost a close AO match to Kuznetsova in 2013.
You have to play well when it matters most. She's certainly had chances at majors and a YEC.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!
