Senoglu d. Dekmeijere 60 62
Liga was outclassed in this match - she made too many errors.
Alves d. Dabek 75 76
Both players have a very similar style of play. Maria Fernanda has very loopy shots, which results in her not having too much power. Tiffany is also a counterpuncher, who throws in moonballs and slow paced balls. There were so many long rallies in the match. Tiffany just got a bit too nervous in the tiebreak and made some awful errors.
Okamoto d. Rice 67 62 62
Tania was aggressive, once again, but Seiko didn't start off very well, making dumb errors. After the first set, Seiko woke up and breezed in the final two sets. I didn't see much of this match though.
Matic d. Liggan 75 76
Kelly was way more aggressive in this match than in her first - and it cost her the match in the tiebreaker. Antonia hit so many amazing dropshots, which worked because Kelly is pretty slow. This match also had very long rallies. It was a good match. Antonia is playing with a lot of confidence, though I can't stand her coach.
Garcia Sokol d. Aoyama 62 62
I didn't see much of this match because I knew Vanina would win easily. From what I saw though, Vanina was dominating the rallies and was just too good.
Rao d. Senoglu 26 75 62
OMG!!! There were so many bad calls against Ipek, which cost her the match.
Ipek has a beautiful game - she has a great dropshot, slices, topspin. But, what is keeping her from moving into the top 250 is three things: she is slow, her slowness results in her having bad footwork, and nerves when she is close to winning the match. Sunitha though played bad at the beginning, and in the 3rd set she started to hit more winners.
Vaidisova d. Kim 61 62
Nicole was just too strong for Jin-Hee. Nicole played much better today than yesterday, and won easily.
Van Exel d. Fujiwara 64 61
I didn't see this match, but Anousjka won very easily. Rika, once again, is having problems with her ankle.
Bachmann d. Alves 46 62 75
Maria Fernanda had the match and blew it. The main difference though, between this match is that Angelika was stronger than Tiffany, which resulted in Maria Fernanda to be more aggressive because Angelika would attack the loopy shots that Maria Fernanda was hitting. So, Alves made more errors and lost as a result.
Karatantcheva d. Xie 46 61 61
Yan-Ze was pretty good in the first set - being very aggressive, but once Sesil woke up, she completely dominated the match and won easily as well. I didn't see much of this match though.
