Looks like the Canadians will have to wait yet another year to win a main draw match. They got pretty crappy draws. Pelletier doesn't have a shot against Schiavone, and neither does Mo against Karolina Sprem. Asagoe isn't a bad draw for Wozniak, but Wozniak is by far the worst player in the field so she'd be hard pressed to beat ANYONE here

Maria could face Mary Pierce in the second round! I don't think they've ever faced each other before.

Maria can also look forward to seeing Vera in the third round, and Elena in the quarter-finals. And if all goes well, Mauresmo in the semi-finals.

If Serena does withdraw, how about a Maria vs. J-Cap final?

Not looking good for the Canadians at all (for those entered in MD directly). Who knows, maybe Dubois --- or some other Canadian in qualifying --- can make it to the MD and do some damage.

Krasnoroutskaya beat Suarez in the SF last year, so who knows?
Tough draw for both girls. Lina often gets the toughest R1 matches - both her middle east appearances this year she had the no5 seed R1 (and the top 4 had byes!!!)
GO BBE!!!
