Venus def Maria S!

IF Venus plays:

she plays Round 1 Tuesday so if she wins:
she plays Round 2 (Mary Pierce)Wednesday so
she plays assuming both keep winning Maria S Thursday.

So Venus vs Maria would be on the Tennis Channel.
They have LIVE coverage starting Thursday.

Also if Venus keeps winning she would have to play according to my observations 6 days in a row

Can her wrist take it?

Yeah, she'd have to play six days in a row.

Time will only tell if it holds up.

One good thing about her possibly playing
Maria is that she'll be playing mary if she gets
past Dulko and Mary's striking of the ball will
prepare her and give her practice for the way
Maria similarly strikes the ball granted she get past Mary.

If Venus' wrist holds up and she continues to play that
agressive style that has been working for her she could
turn many heads. Anything is possible.

Just gotta wait and see how it all unfolds.

Venus beat Justine and Capriati both in one day a few years ago so Venus can do it. Think of all the points 400-500

Exactly!

Venus would be racking up points left and right!
I also think that because of this injury people
might underestimate her chances only to
have her blitz the field!

If Venus draw were to hold to form and she
able to win this tournament she'd get over
500 pts. with 300 for the win and over 250
for the qual. pts.

She could potentially move up to
#7 in the rankings!

Guys, be realistic. Venus has a wrist injury here. It would be some sort of medical miracle for her to be able to play against ball murderers (other than Myskina, who is far nicer to the fuzzy yellow people,) for 6 consecutive days. That would be a seriously major beating to the wrist. I think she won't play, but if she does, getting to the third round would be excellent.

The point is that nobody here knows if it's all that serious and Venus
seems to really want to play. So, if and until she withdrawls I hold
out hope that anything can happen and she can win, otherwise
what's the use of even trying.

If she gets the title she'll get (assuming all seeds hold their seedings)
300 for the title
8 for defeating dulko
15 for defeating pierce
43 for defeating sharapova
55 for defeating Myskina
35 for defeating S.Williams
66 for defeating Mauresmo
Thats a total of 522 points WOW

Serena Williams
Venus Williams
Ana Ivanovic
Tatiana Golovin
