She didn't become mentally fragile. She has ever been. Underarm second serve on MP against Simona in Bucharest - how mashed does your mind have to be to come up with this?
Alexandra really folds under pressure, also the amount of DFs, half of them are on GP or BP. It's insane.

The last time she won a match in a prolonged final set was against Bychkova in Tashkent two years ago (where she already led by 5-2), before that she was able to grind down Arn and Dokic in Monterrey.

Moreover, she is 1-7 in TBs on the WTA (Qualies included) since last year with her only TB won against Klaffner in Linz.

But even if we look past these obvious mental situations within a tennis match, there are a lot of sets of tennis she is just giving away. She had 2 BPs at 4-4 in the first set yesterday, couldn't convert and got broken. She had some crucial BPs against Shvedova in Florianopolis that could have switched the momentum where she couldn't even get a return in etc.

If she wins a set or match, then she was the better player, if it's an even match she will lose.
