Exclamation Serena Williams vs. Jie Zheng

Tough or not?
Apparently this is a tricky one for Serena, especially considering Serena is not a fast starter in the 1st round of slams.

Im not too worried, I saw Zheng play live at the Nasdaq against Vee and she has great hard flat groundies. Serve is questionable tho. She is outdone there.

1st Round: Serena vs. Jie Zheng

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/tennis/3814593.stm

Serena has to play against Zheng in the first round, Venus plays against Marie Gayanay (Suisse) and Anastasia vs. Kurhajcova...

I guess Serena has the toughest opening match of the three top seeds. But it should be no problem for her.

Still waiting for the complete draw on the Wimby site...

zheng's serve is a big problem. hope she could do well~ who knows? maybe her slow serves jump low and proved hard to get on grass~ hehe, i hope so

Its a bad draw for Jie, shouldnt be much of a problem for Serena. I think Jie is still getting adjusted to grass, she already lost to Mikaelian and Janes (losing to a Brit, nuff said ). If she finds her form for this match she could test Serena, but i dont see her winning. Her serve just isnt good enough to beat Serena on grass.

Serena is two very very very easy sets. Walk in the Park

"I told her, `You don't want to get into a hitting battle with Sharapova, because it would be uneven for Sharapova, because Sharapova only has one good side and that's her backhand,"'. "`You don't want to get into that for the simple reason you would win. So try to hit some balls to her strong side, to her backhand, and that would help you with your match for tomorrow
