Thanks for the info. Out of interest why does Schynder need a WC?

schnyder did not enter orginally as she wasn't going to do the grass season. She changed her mind after poor french open and has had to rely on wildcards to play grass tournaments.

No Karen

Shocking. Truly shocking decision.

The fruit series is suspended whilst Grachka (obatafan) mourns Saori's retirement.

Disclaimer: She might be injured, in which case the following is rubbish.

Its all politics. The LTA have decided not to give her one because she is one of a few players that work outside of their system. Karen has not had a good year, granted, but she has had more success since last Wimbledon, is higher ranked and absolutely more deserving that Bagshaw, Mackenzie or Coombs. They would blatantly rather allow someone to be slaughtered just because they are their own player.

I just hope that if Navratilova declines her MD wildcard, that Karen will get that. I won't hold my breath though.

yes Peer101, if MacKenzie is going to get a wildcard into qualies for 1 win in pre qualies, 36 76 75 over Claire Ricketts, then surely Helen F should get one for her 75 60 win over 2nd seed Paterson. DOesn't seem fair on Helen, nor sensible. If she struggles past Ricketts in 3 tight sets imagine how she'll do in wimbledon qualies I hope she proves me wrong though!
