Whats Wrong With Krasnoroutskaya?

I thought she had turned a corner last year - thanks in no small measure to the confidence gained in doubles - but her results this season have been awful. The score suggests she was hammered again today. Surely she needs to drop down a level and actually win some matches because at present she is getting no match practice losing so consistently in the first round.

I watched the match in its entirety...

She bossed the first set with some excellent groundstrokes and then completely went to pieces half-way through the second. The ability is there, she just needs mental steel.

Lina said she was only 40-50% fit, and is no where near ready.
She only got back training around 2 weeks ago.
She tried, played a great 1st set, but towards end of 2nd, she was breathing heavily and ran out of gas.

She said she was ok with it really, she's just happy back playing again.
just practice and once she stays fit/healthy for some time her results will come good.

Lina and Elena D play doubles again at Wimbledon

She'll be in Birmingham for another 2-3 days or so. Weather is great and she can some good practice

Good luck to my favs

That's extremely worrying. I find it very surprising that any professional sportsman or woman would turn up 40-50% fit. How much more damage could they do to themselves?
