chnyder will nun die Turniere in Birmingham, Eastbourne und Wimbledon bestreiten und wird für alle Anlässe Wildcards beantragen. Mit dieser Neuausrichtung fällt Schnyder von einem Extrem ins andere. Seit Beginn ihrer Karriere hat die Schweizer Nummer 1 noch nie im selben Jahr drei Turniere auf jenem Boden bestritten, den sie gar nicht schätzt.

i really don't get this girl. this comes at the same time as her statement that she won't play for fed cup again. x 1000000

Well, I am pleased if a little , cause she did say at the beginning of the year that she didn't really like grass, and would try and give the Olympics a good shot; even though it's not on her best surface.

if you look at it closely it kind of makes sense. she probably thought she would have a much more straining clay court season but in reality she pulled out of 2 events and lost in 2nd round of the other 2. i remember reading that she thought 6 weeks with no competition just wasn't an option.

glad she's playing a complete US hardcourt season this year as well.
