Was Serena injured?

For her to be losing to Capriati 6-4 6-4 makes me wonde rif she should've not played this match at all or just retired, I meanm that was too soon for her to lose, in only a little over an hour. I say it just shows that Serena still isn't 100% and if she was she would've won that match. I say it doesn't prove anything, Serena has beaten Capriati 8 matches in a row and still has a 9-5 record over her. I mean Davenport beat Seles every time and then not 100% in the 2002 year end chanpionships she lost to Seles. So this doesn't prove anything in my book.

that's probably what the capriati clan thought when serena first started to beat capriati, after losing to capriati several times in a row.

everything changes. serena can't win forever. accept the facts. a win is a win.

didn't serena beat her previous opponents pretty easily?? did she get injured overnight?? isn't capriati coming back from injury lay off too??

of course this win doesn't mean that jen is now a better player than serena. it just means that today, at the italian open semi's serena lost to jennifer.

and i say GO JENNY!!!

hollywood's girls:

ana ivanovic daniela hantuchova jelena jankovic martina hingis

and... jennifer capriati !!

I guess it makes sense that Cappy beat Serena, I mean she is of Italian decent after all, so itdoes kind of make sense doesn't it. She did play better today, but it'll be exciting to see them play the next time.

Serena and Jeffiner have always had very competitive matches, even when Serena was 100%. So as a Serena fan, I'm not at all suprised at her loss. While its not a terrible scoreline, a loss is a loss. This also lets Serena know just how much work she still has to do between now and the French. I just hope the FO doesn't have them meeting in the QTRS. But I wouldn't be suprised if they do ( I believe all draws are rigged).

Ah, but at the same time that will give you satisfaction to know that Venus and Serena will not be in the same half.

Everyone is beatable. Yes even my girls Venus and Serena. If a player plays well that day, then it's a well-deserved win. Time to move on.

Venus Williams - 7 Time Major Champion

Serena got beaten, and that's it.
She can suck on clay.
Anyway she would have lost against Amelie-melo tomorrow, so...
Well done Jenny !
