R2 vs. clay-court specialist Duque-Marino, who battled hard to win her R1 match against Siegemund. Pojd!
Btw, her section has opened quite nicely with the ousting of top seed Karin Knapp by qualifier Cepede-Royg in straight sets! Hopefully, Katka can take benefit from this, even though there still are lots of tough opponents left in her section.
Hate it when my faves win the 1st set, then lose the 2nd set by just a break or in TB, and the lose the whole match. And lots of them actually do. Looks like it's a Czech speciality particularly, it happens in about every Pliskova match for instance.
Playing WTA Bad Gastein qualies starting tomorrow. She's the 2nd seed there, and will face former regular Top 50 (SE)Kateryna Bondarenko, who has recently come back to the tour after quite a little time out after she gave birth to a child, and who is now quite struggling to find some form. GL

It was quite a dramatic, close match, loads of breaks. Katka had HUGE problems with her toss, it really was all over the place.
Kolar took a MTO before serving for the set in set 2 at *5-4, and Katka broke her back, then she blew 3 MPs at 6-5* 40-0 and got really mad, I was afraid she would lose the plot but finally won the TB.
