Hana reached her second WTAtour Quarterfinal, equalising the best result in her career. She beat Namigata 6-3 6-1 in the first round and then beat Nakamura 6-3 7-5 in the second round. However, she fell to Lindsay Davenport 6-1 6-0 yesterday. "I don't have too much experience playing against these top players, and today I was just too nervous to play my game," said Sromova, who was playing just her second Tour quarterfinal, her first coming earlier this year. "I was hitting so short; against someone like Lindsay, she's going to kill those balls."
Hana won yesterday 6-4 4-6 6-1 over Kelly Liggan in the first round of Wimbledon qualies!
It was just her 5th win out of 18 matches this year. So it probably would have meant a lot to her. Also it was her first win of her career on grass, so she has now won matches on all surfaces.
Next she will play Iroda Tulyaganova, which could be difficult, but Hana should be confident. Keep going Hana!
