Re: The Klara "Kookie" Zakopalova Cheering Thread

I just hope she'll be able to return soon.

Some idiot edited her wikipedia page and added this:
"She played Flavia Pennetta and lost 6-4, 5-4, deliberately using gamesmenship at the end of the match to retire instead of playing one more game to hand her opponent the victory."
It must've been some idiot, because the person can't even spell gamesmanship right. I edited the entry, so it's accurate now.

No.

Re: The Klara "Kookie" Zakopalova Cheering Thread

Aside from the fall, which is hard to look past, we need to be happy about Klara's improvements. She's making a slow comeback, I think she can make the top 30 again this year.

But at least she seemed to be in good spirits after the initial shock. Hopefully she'll recover soon, she needs to play in March.

Good, you're one of the people I trust for that.

No one asked about the Czechs there, so I don't know if she entered, I think she probably has, we'll see. But with the two big ones in March I don't know if it's worth risking.

No.

According to Tobi's post today she's still on the list for Acapulco. I don't see her playing, but we'll see.

No.

i hope she doesn't play. i'd rather her take another week off and be as fully fit as possible for IW/Miami. otherwise this could be a recurring issue for her all year.

oh and milan, my prof won't let me write my paper on klara. he told me there is life outside of tennis.

What does he know.

Also isn't karma a bitch, Dexter was talking all the shit about Kookie and now his fave player sprained her ankle as well.

And I agree with you, Klara better rest up if she's not 110%, no point risking anything at all.

No.

Re: The Klara "Kookie" Zakopalova Cheering Thread

well klara is indeed playing, we'll see if it was a good decision or not....it started out good, she won 4-6 6-3 6-1 against martinez sanchez.....i had to keep reminding myself throughout the match that she also had a tough 1st round match with bychkova at vina and look what happened....hopefully she'll be able to do one better here.

craybas is next.

Re: The Klara "Kookie" Zakopalova Cheering Thread

Klara lost 61 46 76(2)
she was leading 53 in the final set, serving for the match. What happens... she blows two MPs, double faults and gets broken.

frustrating loss, Kookie
